This Old Paper

On June 4th I bought this Christmas card* at the Hartville Marketplace. I immediately thought, “Oh, Santa, how could you?” Not only did Santa trade in his sleigh for a steam engine, but there is a reindeer head mounted on the front of the engine above the cowcatcher! At least it’s not Rudolph – but which of his eight loyal reindeer could it be?

Hopefully, all of his reindeer are still safe. Hopefully, the procurement of this reindeer head involved no violent bloodshed. Hopefully, this mounted deer head is an artist’s rendition of a deer head – like those available here!
